1. What does a personal trainer do?
A personal trainer creates customized fitness programs tailored to your goals, fitness level, and lifestyle. I offer one-on-one or small group training sessions, to provide proper exercise technique, and a structured plan to help you reach your fitness goals efficiently.

2. Is personal training safe for beginners or seniors?
Absolutely! Whether you’re a beginner or returning to exercise after a break, my training programs focus on gradual improvements, so you can build strength, mobility, and confidence at your own pace. Always consult your doctor before starting a new fitness routine.

3. How often should I work with a personal trainer vs train on my own?
The ideal frequency depends on your goals, schedule and ability to stay motivated.  Some clients request personal training sessions up to 3x per week, while other clients require 1 session every 2 weeks, or even just once a month.   Expect to train at least 3 days a week either on your own or with me.

4. Can I train with a friend?

Yes! Small group training is a great way to stay motivated while sharing the cost. Training with a partner or friends can make fitness more enjoyable and affordable.

5. Do you provide online or virtual training sessions?

Yes, I can meet you virtually and provide you with a structured program to meet your fitness goals.

6. How long does it take to see results from personal training?

Most clients notice improvements in strength, energy, and endurance within 4-6 weeks, however it depends on factors like consistency and workout intensity.

7. Do you offer in-home personal training?

Yes! I provide in-home personal training for clients who prefer to train in the comfort and privacy of their own home. This option is perfect for those with busy schedules, limited access to a gym, or a preference for one-on-one training in a familiar setting.

8. What are the benefits of in-home personal training?

✅ Convenience – No commuting to the gym; I come to you.
✅ Privacy – Train in a comfortable, stress-free environment.
✅ Personalized Workouts – Customized to your space, equipment, and goals.
✅ No Gym Membership Needed – Save money on membership fees while still getting professional coaching.

9. What fitness equipment do I need for in-home personal training?

Typically we will utilize such equipment as dumbbells, mats, exercise bands and stability balls, HOWEVER, you don’t need much equipment to get started as there are MANY exercises that don’t require any equipment at all!

10. Can I do personal training if I am being treated by a physiotherapist or other medical professional?

Yes, usually you can under their advise.   Often, medical practitioners like physiotherapists will provide you with an exercise prescription.    That’s fantastic!  We can follow your practitioner’s advise and integrate their recommendations into your fitness program. Always consult your doctor before starting a new fitness routine.

11. How do I book a personal training session?

Booking is simple! Contact me via email or the contact form on my website to schedule your free 30-minute phone consultation to discuss your goals, my approach and whether we’re a good fit to work together.

12. What is your cancellation policy?

I require 24 hours notice for cancellations or reschedules to avoid a session charge. This ensures availability for all clients.
